On November 10, Samsung Heavy Industries with the Ministry of Employment and Labor and
the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency held an event to produce and deliver rest facilities
to partner company Geumgang Heavy Industries through the safety and health win-win cooperation project.
The 'Safety and health win-win cooperation project', which is being promoted by the Korea Occupational
Safety and Health Agency, is a core safety and and health project in the serious accident reduction roadmap
included in the government's national tasks, and is a project in which the parent company collaborates to
support partner companies under the financial support of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency.
The rest facilities produced by Samsung Heavy Industries are equipped with air conditioners and tables &
chairs which are expected to improve the work efficiency of workers, especially in hot summer & winter.
Gong Heung-du, head of the Busan Metropolitan Headquarters of the Korea Occupational Safety and
Health Agency, said, “I hope that this case of producing and supporting rest facilities for the first time in Korea
will become the first excellent case of coexistence and become a catalyst for all industrial sites in Korea
to become comfortable and healthy workplaces.”
